2016 – UN International Year of Pulses

Since the United Nations have declared 2016 as the ‘International Year of Pulses’, we are likely to see what is usually a staple food for vegetarians and vegans creeping into mainstream food stuffs. 

We love the rustic looking packaging for pulses shown here from Greek company Family Farm, a hark back to a time when such foods would be delivered wholesale in cloth sacks. These will appeal to people who like to keep their ‘finger on the pulse’, excuse the pun, when it comes to the latest food fashions. 

Heaps more stylish than buying your pulses from a plastic food bin!
